2020 WAEC Cancelation: All WAEC students should take note of this

It is disheartening that for quite some months now, Nigerian schools have been on closure, following the directive of the federal government to curtail the spread of Covid-19 disease. Nevertheless, President Muhammadu Buhari has bield citizen that the country has been surviving previous crisis and so will the country overcome the pandemic by God's grace.


WAEC students will agree with me that their 2020 WAEC examination was postponed as a result of the closure of schools by the federal government.


Undoubtedly, WAEC Candidates are now perplexed, as they don't Know if the 2020 WAEC examination is still on postponment or has it been cancelled, seeing that they are now in the month they should have finished their exams, yet they have not even seen the timetable, talk more of writing the exam.


However, WAEC students should take note of the following about the 2020 WAEC Cancellation;




First, WAEC students should note that their will be no cancellation of WAEC this year, following what the minister of state for education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba revealed not too long ago that disclosed that the ministry is considering how to let WAEC students to resume first and write their exams.


Though the chairman of the presidential task force for covid-19, Boss Mustapha recently disclosed that it is not safe to reopen school amid covid-19. Therefore, WAEC students should note that their exam has not been cancelled and will be taken soon.


Also, WAEC students should note that their exams is still on postponment and has not been cancelled, as the Head of Nigeria National Office of the WestAfrican Examinations Council (WAEC), Patrick Areghan, had earlier revealed that the exam will still be on postponment until normalcy. Therefore, they should note that their exams is still on postponment and has not been cancelled.


Meanwhile, WAEC Candidates are being advised to keep studying their books, while they wait for their examination date to be announced.
