2020 WASSCE: Lalong Honours Plateau Student With 9 A1s

JOS – Governor Simon Lalong has promised to sponsor Miss Syl­via Ulan Andrew, a citizen of Plateau State who emerged the overall best in the 2020 West Af­rica Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) into any University of her choice in Nigeria for scoring A1 in all her subject in the examination.

Ulan, who is an indigene of Bokkos Local Government Area of the State, was a stu­dent of Premier Academy, Lugbe, Abuja.

She is said to have a histo­ry of record-breaking having emerged overall best in the National Common Entrance Examinations which earned her a scholarship by the Shell Petroleum Company.

Governor Lalong congrat­ulated her for the feat and said he was not surprised because of the abundant talents avail­able in the State.

Besides, Lalong added that the State will grant her schol­arship to any University of her choice and praised her mother for raising Sylvia single-hand­edly since the death of her husband even before her birth.
