Covid-19 - Presco Donates Palliatives To Delta State Govt

PRESCO Plc, a leading vegetable oils and fats producer, operating in Edo and Delta states, has donated vegetable oil to Delta State Government in support of the government’s effort to provide relief to the most vulnerable in the state.

Taking delivery of the items at the Delta Agricultural Development Programme office in Ibusa, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Mofe Pirah, on behalf of the Delta State Government, thanked the management of PrescoPlc for the gestureand assured that the items would be distributed to the most vulnerable persons in the state.

He added that the State Government has been receiving palliatives from well-meaning individuals and corporate organizations in support of its efforts.

On the management of the challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commissioner noted that the government had so far done very well in dealing with issues thrown up by the pandemic, through the support received.

The Relations Manager of Presco Plc, Tony Uwajeh who delivered the items on behalf of the company, seized the occasion to also reiterate the company’s effort to increase its operations in Delta State and expressed the desire to see Delta State explore the economic benefits of investment in the oil palm sector on a larger scale for sustainable growth and development.

A total of 1,000 pieces of five-litre jerry cans of Olein (vegetable oil) in 250 cartons were delivered to the Delta State Government.
