Gianni Infantino who is the president of the Federation of International Football Association known as FIFA might be landing himself into problems after criminal cases opened against him.

This is not expected from someone who is the head of world football and also considering how the body have been preaching against corruption in soccer.

Swiss special prosecutor Stefan Keller is looking into dealings between Infantino and the Swiss Attorney General Michael Lauber.

According to the report on UK Mirror, the investigation is on considering how Michael Lauber resigned from his position last week.

The report added that Lauber and Infantino had undisclosed meeting three years ago in which these two football chiefs denied any wrongdoing.

Latest development now has it that special prosecutor Stefan Keller had found indications of criminal conduct related to the meetings.

This is background to why the Swiss special prosecutor has opened a criminal case against FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Follows complaints about alleged criminal conduct when the Swiss attorney general Michael Lauber had undisclosed meetings with him

Infantino has been the president of FIFA for the past five years and the 50-year-old made it clear when he came to office that his regime will eradicate corruption from football.

Meanwhile, he has not been confirmed guilty of any offense as investigation is still going on on the issue.
